The San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership announced today its honorees for its 2014 Awards Gala, which honors outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations making a significant contribution to the quality of life and economic vitality of the region. This year’s honorees include Wayne Ratkovich, Cal Poly Pomona, Supervisor Gloria Molina, Prolacta Bioscience, Inc., Foothill Transit, and Huy Fong Foods.

“With all of the challenges that face businesses, it is so important to take the time to acknowledge the truly outstanding, innovative, and forward-thinking,” commented Cynthia Kurtz, President and CEO of the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership and weekly business columnist, “This event is an opportunity to mingle with some of the most notable individuals in our region.”

The 11th anniversary event will be held at the Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum in the City of Industry, and is expected to draw over 300 hundred business, education, and local government leaders from throughout the region. Past honorees include Cathay Bank, Huntington Hospital, Mickey and Lee Segal, The Fung Brothers, City of Hope, Snak King, AeroVironment, USC President C. L. Max Nikias, Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, the Majestic Realty Foundation, and Unical Aviation.

The 11th Annual San Gabriel Valley Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 with reception at 6:30 p.m. and dinner and awards at 7:30 p.m. at the Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum (15415 East Don Julian Road, City of Industry, CA). It is open to the public.
