Are you stuck at home while all your friends are vacationing in Europe? Don’t feel left out—take a drive up Hill Avenue instead for a taste of Austria in town.
Solminer Wine was started by Anna and David deLaski to fulfill a dream they shared together. Anna is from Austria and David from California which is the basis for their brilliant white Austrian wines and spectacular Californian reds.
Dinner will feature an amazing 5 course tasting menu (shown below) prepared by Chef Claud Beltran at Bacchus Kitchen.
The menu is impressive; starting strong with Solminer Rose of Syrah served with Carpaccio of heirloom tomatoes, picholine olives and topped with cresenza strachino cheese.
Next up is Grunner Veltliner which is paired with an impressive dish of Moroccan spiced scallops dish with preserved lemons and cinnamon yam gnocchi. Riesling is perfectly paired with Foie Gras Terrine, grilled nectarines and a delectable basil salad.
For entrees, Syrah/Grenache is served alongside savory smoked duck breast, accompanied by parmesan cheese farro and puree of parsnip. Also being offered is Syrah served with grilled rib eye cap and a delicious corn custard with a divine black garlic puree.
There is also a cheese of the day served alongside a seasonal fruit plate for dessert. Tickets for the Solminer Wine Dinner are $100.00 per person and available through August 12th.
This taste of Europe in your own backyard is on Thursday, August 13th from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online here https://www.eventbrite.com/e/solminer-winemaker-dinner-with-david-and-anna-delaski-tickets-17269445376.com.
