Emilie Broughton is elected incoming Secretary for 2016 of the Pasadena Foothills Association of Realtors (PFAR). An Associate Broker with Town Square Real Estate since 2012, Broughton joined PFAR the same year and found the Caravan Meetings a great way to learn about the community.
She has been a member of the charitable funding community around the annual PFAR wine event since 2013. Earlier this year she joined the PFAR delegation for the California Association of Realtors legislative day with thousands of Realtors from all over the State. Seeing what the local PFAR board is doing at the state and national level inspired Broughton to seek this position. “I look forward to the opportunity to improve relations with the city of Pasadena and represent our membership.”
Broughton added, “I believe that the first and most important step on the road to success is showing up. I have taken the opportunities that have come my way and try to build on the experiences I have had to give the best service to my clients and my community.”
Other community involvement includes becoming a member of the Pasadena Community Toastmasters in 2012, a Charter Member of the San Gabriel Valley Wine and Dine Toastmasters Club and Club President. Because of her work with the club she was honored with the Club President Award for the area in “recognition of dedicated service and outstanding leadership.”
Broughton has participated as an organizer of the “Happy Birthday” event at the Pasadena Museum of History and has been a volunteer with the Friends of the Southwest Museum Fundraiser at Galco’s in Highland Park. “This was a fun event and an opportunity to taste a lot of soda!’
Broughton also has the honor of being a Five Star Professional award winner for Southern California Real Estate Agents in 2014 and 2015. “The fact that the nomination for this award came from clients is very meaningful to me.”
