Nestled next to the Historic Rose Bowl, this classic 36-hole golf course is steeped in tradition and is treasured by the Pasadena community and surrounding neighborhoods as well. Built in 1970 by course architect William Bell, the Brookside Golf Course has several amenities including a great driving rage with beautiful views up at the surrounding hills, chipping and putting greens, a clubhouse with a full bar and grill as well as the prestigious John Wells Golf shop.
The staff is headed up by my own eternally patient instructor, Head Pro Tim Terwilliger, who has been with Brookside for 31 years. Every Tuesday morning I am transported from my busy day-to-day routine selling real estate to a quiet place in the middle of the Arroyo for some of the best moments of the week, spent on the practice course.
Brookside is a gem of the Pasadena community, it’s a great place for beginners and advanced golfers as well. There are two separate courses which offer varying levels of difficulty, so it is comfortable to play there no matter how well you hit the ball. I highly recommend it for a great way to spend your day!
