The mixed use commercial complex down at S. Fair Oaks is definitely getting full with a string of new restaurants opening their doors to customers. Another newcomer to the location is Taiwanese favorite, Guppy Teahouse, which finds its 11th location at 61 S. Fair Oaks Ave.
The restaurant, which originated in Cerritos and has grown to include 10 locations in California and another coming up soon in Cupertino, features an array of boba, various teas by the pot, fresh fruit juices and smoothies, soups and salads, hot pots, noodles, and shaved ice topped with fresh cut fruits.
Clients can delight in the appetizer sampler, which features popcorn chicken with sweet and sour sauce, homemade fries, chicken cutlet, and house salad sprinkled with peanuts. Guppy Teahouse’s tummy fillers also include seafood and beef porridges, grilled salmon steaks, and a range of hotpots.
Diners can also choose from the very spicy tofu hot pot with either beef, tempura, or pork, or try the kimchi and mochi hot pot with rice, beef kimchi hot pot, or seafood hotpot. They also offer beef stew noodles, popcorn chicken with noodles, and dumplings to go with your warm bowl of Taiwanese goodness.
Leave room for dessert, because Guppy Teahouse offers shaved ice bathed in fresh mango, strawberry, banana, kiwi, and red bean, among others.
Guppy Teahouse in Pasadena is located at the same complex as the newly opened Bachi Burger and 85C, making it a haven for those who are craving Asian cuisine. Other Guppy Teahouse locations include those in Cerritos, Anaheim, Hacienda Heights, Irvine, Temple City, West Covina, Chino Hills, Fullerton, and Glendale.
