Vino at Trio’s is hosting an event that celebrates the owner’s passions: enjoying fine wines from Napa Valley and running marathons. The Napa Valley wine tasting is February 23rd from 4-7 pm. This special occasion was inspired by owner Mike Fata who will be running the Napa Valley marathon for the eighth time the following Sunday.
Guests will enjoy a variety of 10 Napa Valley wines and appetizers to both complement and match the quality of the wine. Most of the 10 selected wines will be reds such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot, yet also include chardonnay.
The 26.2 mile scenic marathon course passes by a number of wineries such as Conn Creek Winery which, coincidentally, is one of Mike’s favorites and will be part of the featured wines. Another one of Mike’s favorite wineries, Honig Winery, will also be represented in the tasting.
A casual and calm atmosphere is to be expected on what is forecasted to be a sunny and beautiful afternoon. Over the course of a few hours, each guest will be able to taste the 10 wines at their own pace and in any order, although a sheet with a suggested order and description of the wines are provided.
