Great food, great service, great people, great dining experience. Though these qualities grace many restaurants today, The Flintridge Proper takes it to a whole different level.

Consider: fresh, farm-to-table food prepared by Chef Kevin NaPier; a higher level of service that’s normally reserved for mom and pop establishments; a pair of local owners who are passionate about food and service; and an overall authentic experience that harks back to the “pub culture” of the Old World.

The Flintridge Proper takes what makes a community special and distills it into something tangible, creating a restaurant where the community can share stories, experiences, great food and drink with one another for generations to come.

Chef NaPier, an alumnus of the prestigious Patina Group and a graduate of California School of Culinary Arts, is critically acclaimed as one of the most creative chefs in Los Angeles. An expert in cheese, NaPier is an advocate of local sourcing and uses only the finest seasonal ingredients found at local markets.

This fresh, farm-to-table approach ensures that the food you eat at The Proper is made from only the freshest and best local sustainable ingredients.

Local entrepreneur Brady Caverly, a longtime area resident, and his wife Mary Elizabeth, who live in the area with kids who study at local schools, own the Flintridge Proper. Both are passionate about great food, proper libations and friendly, gracious service, and it shows every time you visit The Proper.

The couple’s goal when they established The Flintridge Proper was to capture the rich culture and heritage of the town which the Caverly’s love so well.. A place so specific to the La Cañada Flintridge that if you had only half an hour to show a visiting friend what makes the community special, a visit to The Proper would give them all they needed to know.

If you find yourself at a crossroads on what to choose, trust the bartender and get ready for a gin-tastic ride.
