A new year brings a new round of honorees for Carver School.
For more than 3 decades, the “golden nugget” award has been a Carver tradition. The award is given each year to a select group of Carver parents, teachers and staff members who have made outstanding contributions to Carver children.
This year, 9 honorees were awarded the prestigious accolades. Said Carver Principal Liz Hollingsworth, “These amazing people have gone above-and-beyond in giving their talents and time to the children at Carver School. These volunteers, and others like them, are such a critical part of Carver School’s success.”
The latest recipients of the honor were announced at Carver’s Holiday Program on December 21st. Among the contributions cited were gifts of time and talent to the school’s PTA, computer program, yearbook, science fair, fundraising efforts and classroom help.
