Third-graders recently paid a visit to the Mother’s Club Family Learning Center. The facility prepares families isolated by poverty, lack of education and inadequate social support to succeed in school and in life by increasing the skills and education of both mother and child. The Poly students delivered donated books and spent some time playing with the young children. A good time was had by all, and valuable lessons learned. Upon leaving, a Poly student remarked that he had a new appreciation for the difficulties of entertaining small children that his mother encountered while he was in preschool.
