Pasadena City College is pleased to host The Vagina Monologues, a play written by Eve Ensler, on February 23rd at 12:30 pm and February 24th at 6:00 pm. Seventeen students will perform in the event to raise awareness regarding violence against women and girls as well as social stigmas related to that violence.
The play’s producers, Jennifer Fiebig and Jennifer Noble, are both psychology professors who teach Human Sexuality. Their goal for this performance is to help students shine a spotlight on social justice issues while also giving back to their community.
All proceeds will be donated to Shepherd’s Door Domestic Violence Resource Center, serving victims of domestic violence for 17 years. Shepherd’s Door is a non-profit organization 501©3 Shepherd’s Door mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence through relationship education, financial empowerment, healing art workshops, youth violence prevention education and direct rescue intervention.
