For the thirteenth entry in its Off the Page series of staged readings, Sierra Madre Playhouse will present Hubcap.

In this new, contemporary black family drama set in Georgia’s Okefenokee Swamp, a grandmother battles to keep her childlike adult grandson under her care, setting off a series of events with deadly consequences.

David Lee Ray directs his own script. His cast includes Zuri Alexander, Mackenzie Astin, D.J. Harner, Hollie Hunt, Shirley Jordan and Xavier J. Watson.

Mr. Ray’s other plays include Before I Wake, 7 Miles From Prison, Kudzu and Caught. He received a Master’s Degree from Claremont School of Theology.

Debra J. Harner and Sierra Madre Playhouse Artistic Director Christian Lebano curate the Off the Page series.

Off the Page Series “Hubcap” will be held, Monday, February 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Admission to Hubcap is free. Donations are accepted. Reservations are not required.
