Amazing plans are underway for the Five Acres’ 2017 gala which is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the lush and spacious Molina Estate in South Pasadena. The party will begin with cocktails and a silent auction on the front lawn. Chris Selak, Executive Vice President and Head of Worldwide Scripted Television for Lionsgate Television, will return as co-chair alongside Sandy Walia, Area President Greater San Gabriel Division, Wells Fargo. Chris oversees creative development and programming for all scripted television projects around the globe across a wide array of platforms for Lionsgate. Sandy is a 20 year veteran of Wells Fargo and in her current role oversees approximately 1,000 team members in 54 community banking stores, spanning five districts in the region.

 

Partnering this year with the Gala committee leadership is the Auction Chair Tami Gittleman and Opportunity Chair Natalie Bazarevitsch. Tami Gittleman worked with Allegro, A Division of Conair Corporation as Category Director for an emerging division of their business. Natalie Bazarevitsch has 25 combined years of experience as a Senior Managing Director and real estate professional with CBRE. Both Tami and Natalie are returning members of the Five Acres Gala committee and are honored to serve in these roles.

 

The event’s Emcee this year will be Actor, Producer, and Writer Mike O’Malley. Truly a multi-hyphenate, Mike O’Malley got his start in front of the camera hosting Nickelodeon’s “Get the Picture” and the iconic game show “Guts.” His success continued in television with standout roles in “Yes Dear,” “My Name Is Earl,” “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Justified” and his Emmy®-nominated, groundbreaking performance as ‘Burt Hummel’ on the hit show “Glee.” Mike’s feature work includes roles in “Eat Pray Love,” “Cedar Rapids,” “Leatherheads,” “Meet Dave,” “28 Days,” “Concussion” and Clint Eastwood’s “Sully.” Also an accomplished writer, Mike wrote and produced the independent feature “Certainty,” which he adapted from his own play. In television, Mike has served as a consulting producer on “Shameless” and is in his fourth season as creator and executive producer of “Survivor’s Remorse” for Starz.
