Three extraordinary couples and a renowned historian have been named as the Contemporary History Makers for 2016 by Pasadena Museum of History. Dave & Holly Davis, Thomas Seifert & Dianne Philibosian, PhD, Dick & Ann Ward, and Robert Winter, PhD will be honored at a Black Tie Gala Dinner at The California Club in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 15. Proceeds from the event benefit PMH’s educational programs.

 

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction. Fine dining and the program portion of the evening being at 7:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Art Deco Entertainment. Carol & Bill Thomson are the Event Chairs.

These extraordinary couples will be honored as 2016 Contemporary History Makers for their shared commitment to our community in areas of civic service, dedication to education, health, sports and recreation, and the local environment, and their contributions to the growth, development, and promotion of Pasadena and its environs.

 

Robert Winter, PhD

 

Architectural historian Robert Winter will also be honored for his long tenure with the Museum as a Board Member, Trustee Emeritus, mentor, and scholar. Winter has permanently enriched the Museum’s collections with his gift of the Ernest A. Batchelder Tile Collection & Archives, which will be on display in the exhibition Batchelder: Tilemaker. His Contemporary History Makers award will be presented in absentia with an electronic tribute.
